As recently as two years ago the children of the age 7 – 18 were engaged all together in the children club “Ilan”. However, the organizers noticed that the teenagers wish some independence:  their have their own interests, their own topics for conversations etc. Therefore, in 2004 a teen-age club “Knafaim“ (from Hebrew – “wings“) was established. The title was not taken by chance, as it is at this age, according to the kids, that they “start spreading their wings preparing to flit into the world of adults”. Several years will pass and those who attended the youngest kids club “Dubi” (from Hebrew – “Teddy bear”) and children club “Ilan”) from Hebrew – “tree”) will become madrichim and members of the Student Union.  

Today the young people in the age of 16 – 18 have a club of their own, with 30-40 teenagers gathering there every Friday from 6 PM to 7 PM to enhance their knowledge in Jewish culture, history and traditions, to get acquainted with fascinating people and simply communicate.

Two out of four activities are devoted to studying various aspects of Judaism and one – towards the discussion of some problem of current interest to the teenagers; the final class a special entertainment or sports activity is held: attending bowling or pool, going to the cinema or cafe etc.
