The Union of War veterans, founded in 1991 is one of the first organizations established in the Jewish Community of Lithuania. Upon the establishment there were 600 war participants; today the organization counts 170 people. The organization voluntarily unites people who joined the lines of armed forces and partisan troops and took part in a struggle against fascism during the years of World War II.
